Thinking of buying a Volvo 480, but aren't sure what to look for? Don't worry, we were all like that once! When I bought my turbo, I was particularly unsure of what to look for, so I bought this guide from a UK car value guide. I have turned it into a PDF for your enjoyment!
Xander Tielrooy (Tielroy) kindly supplied a document (in Dutch) detailing Volvo 480 Electrical Schemes, in PDF format for you to enjoy (Warning: ~40MB).
Stephen Blackwell (red480gt) has kindly supplied 2 documents detailing the 480's wiring, (in English). The initial document from 1991 is ~18MB and a suppliment for 1992-1994 is ~5MB
Stephen Blackwell (red480gt) has also provided a PDF file of section 8 of the Volvo service manual, which covers body equipment (8.4MB).
Paul Murphy (Murf) has produced these excellent replacement dials for you to print - in .zip format (~1.4MB)

Renter (D. Steur) spent a lot of time scanning in the entire Volvo480 parts book he borrowed from a kind local Volvo dealer - you can get it here (Warning: 57MB).
November 2003 saw the delivery of a nice book about the 480, so I've put some choice pictures here.
Daniel Wilten (coyote1980) has supplied scans of the Dutch and German owners manuals, which I have turned into PDFs (~31MB and ~27MB)

Matbat (Volvo 480 club Europe) has modded a turbo boost guage for his non turbo car to show manifold pressure instead. A 600K Quicktime movie is here (You must have quicktime viewer installed, available here)
Here I have provided a handy quick reference chart to compare the characteristics of the various engines, ignition systems etc the 480's used - this includes the full specefications so always worth referring to!
Ben Harris (Ben Harris) has created PDF files detailing the procedure for changing the timing belt, cooling system and changing/removing the SRS (airbag) system in a Volvo 480.
Chris Hill (VCoE: Chris1roll) has provided a scan from Performance Car Magazine where the 480 is road tested. A good read for the historians!
