Annnnnd... tonights update... my speedo's started working... more times than it doesn't! ha... and... I've got some new stickers... new numberplates on their way too... to make the car look cleaner

nooooooooo, I love my ultralite wheels... had them on my mini for a few years now! They'll look good with a suspension drop... trust me... ha

That picture's a photoshop.. the wheels are on my mini, which is only a summer car... sooo.. as soon as he's hibernating.... they get to live on the Volvo! ha

The salt will probably kill them though....

Well...

I've fixed my infocentre!

changed the capacitor I thought was broke with one off the incompatable PCB I bought, all works fiiine!

just got a broken pop-up to contend with now

An eventful week this week!

My MOT runs out this week... and... suprise suprise... everythings breaking!

My shopping's consisted of, rear calliper, panhard rod, various bushes and clips and a headlmap motor...

Need to get all that on and MOT'd before a trip to Stafford on Sunday!

Well, I didn't get to Stafford, had to use my mums car lol

got the MOT done today thoooo and changed a broken headlight motor!

Well... everythings been fine for a while! lol

Fixed my dodgy headlight, new panhard rod and anti-roll bar bushes... MOT done tooo! =]

Changed my olis this weekend, havn't used the car much since but I have noticed a slight improvment in driving so far... but we'll see!

Hopefully getting some new wheels on this week... will get some photos up if I do!

Updates

I've been reading a really old thread about the diagnostics port on the strut tower, so I thought I'd have a go. I got;

Misfire cylinder 2
Irratic RPM signal
External temp sensor (which I suspected)

Going to have a look at the temp sensor tomorrow, and price up a new dizzy cap and leads!

Today.... I saved my 480!

I was looking at a replacement engine as those around me had tried to convince me mine was scrap... so... ever curious... I decided to take my cylinder head off, couldn't do any more damage! ha

Start with one... scarily dirty engine...


Head offff... pain!


Not much damage to the pistons, these are the worse of the 4!


Ahh... that'll be why there's no compression then!




Onto the bench... stripped down in about 15 minutes or so


Ready for the machine shop in the morning!
