Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

I think I'm just daydreaming here but how much do you want for this lot and could it be fitted to a non-air-con car? I've been driving around for the last few days thinking that the only thing I'd like my 480 to have that it didn't come with is air con... That and I need to replace my VEM sliders anyway so there's gonna be some (albeit far more minor!) ventilation maintenance taking place anyway soon.

Jaster you dont realise the extent of retrofitting an aircon system.
In addition to the parts shown you need
2different "radiators" one for your car engine and one for the air con plus the whole of the heater/aircon plastic mounting and vent system has to be put in as a single unit after you have removed your existing system. (also lower bottom radaitor hose)
alternator has to be replaced with a larger capacity one
a complete wiring loom from an aircon car.
a white plastic expansion tank with mountings
a new vent fitted in the space currently occupied by then blanking plate under the glove box.
Even with ALL the stuff from me you would still need to replace a hose (expensive) I had to cut. I have been 4 days in total so far removing my aircon removing a manual heater system and replacing it ; and I still have about half a days work ahead of me to sort out the little bugs and refill cooling system.
This is the biggest thing I have done to date and its only possible because I have broken a few 480's before and used the experience of removing a dash before before starting on this project.
Seriously it is a lot of work to retro fit an air con I would never dream of doing this the other way round and retrofitting an aircon.
regards Jim.

Well I guess I've been told then!
As I said I was merely daydreaming, I spend far too much time thinking about these bloody vehicles! Thanks Jim anyway for taking the time to explain why it's not a good idea, hopefully this thread will be of more use to someone else!
